Mr. Burrill, founder and chief executive officer of Burrill & Company, a life sciences merchant bank, has served on Depomed’s Board of Directors since August 1997. Prior to founding Burrill & Company, Mr. Burrill served in the same capacity at Burrill & Company's predecessor firm, Burrill & Craves, between 1994 and 1997. Prior to this, he spent 28 years with Ernst & Young LLP as partner and as international chairman of the firm's Manufacturing/High Technology Industry Practice. Mr. Burrill is also a director of Targacept, Inc. and several private companies.
